FLESH & FILTH

The Dagers chose to highlight The Princess and the Peacock and then took us and all willing attendees on a journey through several filthy kink stations. Screened alongside Daniel Baker Well’s film was a selection from our open call earlier this year

Cream City Dagers

A newly formed group of all stripe of dyke/queer dirtybirds focused on community and hosting events both naughty & nice, sober & buzzy, soft & mean.

Works Screened

Princess and the Peacock - Daniel Baker Wells (Germany/UK)

Mona is a 22 year old trans girl from a small village in France. She puts needles attached to peacock feathers in her skin, under bright lights, late at night. She bleeds, half naked, in front of small crowds of people. Sometimes they faint whilst watching her.
Why would she do this? How did she learn to do it? And why would someone want to watch?

Pinned [&] Claimed - Indigo Mendes, Milo Whitson, Rey Webb (Chicago)

The buzzing of a helpless victim draws in a hungry predator eager to collect and display his new specimen.

The Demonstration of Grinding Tofu - Lechen Zheng (London, UK)

Grinding Tofu is a performative video work reflecting on the absence of queer sex education in my Chinese upbringing. Inspired by my first encounter with the slang “grinding tofu”—— a euphemism for tribadism that I misunderstood yet fantasized about due to repression. The work takes the form of a satirical instructional video styled after outdated Chinese educational tapes.

The Uptown - Polly Bombshell (San Francisco)

Vivi puts a personals ad in a fetish mag, looking for adventure in San Francisco. She and Mx. Mayhem meet for a hot anonymous encounter, but in a town this small, they were destined to awkwardly run into each other at the local queer bar.

Licorice - Nicky Miller (Berlin)

Licorice portrays Dyke Rider and `O´ as Fox in a Playroom. The short film presents a modern interpretation of Joreen's 1970 text, "The Bitch Manifesto," which reclaims the definition of "bitch.”

Moonstone - Lumenbodies (NYC)

'moonstone' emerges from the creation of an embodied cinema performance inspired by Carolee Schneemann's 'Fuses.' Exploring the eroticism of queer domesticity, 'moonstone' envisions trans pleasure threatening to burst with gentle pressure.

MARTYR/DOM - Aurora Lowther (Chicago)

A poetic pornographic piece about a transmasc angel who visits a hedonistic transgirl in an attempt to "save" her.

Dancing Bodies - La Fille Renne, Elisa Monteil, Laure Giappicono (Berlin)

Dancing Bodies is a joyful and sexual ode to sorority.
